Air Experience Flights and Vouchers
These flights are special, generally gifts and so we will do all we can to make it memorable. It is best to check with one of our Club Members a few days prior to the intended flight to make sure the aircraft is available and the weather will be good – the best rule of thumb is for a warm day, a little wind and puffy white clouds.
We have a range of experiences on offer varying from the local area to aero-tows for the Mile High and the Sights of Gippsland– Wilsons Prom to Phillip Island and beyond. And for the really adventurous, aerobatics are possible.
The Experiences Are!
Club members regularly use the winch and this is a great introduction to the sport. With the winch we will give you at least one flight (and two if the conditions favour it – no extra cost) for an exhilarating, not quite an express lift, climb to 1500 feet and a local area view. But by far the best is the aero-tow ride where you can be taken anywhere from 2,000 feet all the way up to 5,000 feet, release from the tow, to have our Sights of Gippsland Experience, a gentle flight that will allow you to see from Wilsons Prom to Phillip Island and beyond.
For the really adventurous, we can do aerobatics. We can also let you have a go on the controls and let you try your hand at flying.
Aero-tow to 3,000’ 20 – 25 mins $300
Aero-tow to 4,000’ ~ 30 mins $400
Aero-tow to 5,000’ ~35 – 40 mins $500
3 Flight Package (Introductory instructional flights) $450
On all flights you will experience our wonderful area with a lounge chair unobstructed view. Bring your camera. You may see our eagles, you will get some fantastic views.

Passenger Suitability Requirements
Although we will always do everything we can to make gliding accessible to as many people as possible, there are some limitations. This limitation is aircraft dependant: we cannot take people over 105kg due to aircraft and cockpit limits. Very tall people (over about 6’6” – 198cm) might not fit either.
Youngsters (as passengers or students) are again limited by weight – minimum weight this time. They can be seated in the back to overcome the weight and balance needs but because visibility is not as good as in the front seat. As a guide, children above 8 years may be able to be passengers, but please check with us first.
Older people always seem to emerge from a gliding flight 30 years younger. Of course, you need to be able to get into and out of the glider, but we can go over this with you before the flight. Disabled people can be flown depending on the disability(and we genuinely welcome them) but they must be able to obey instructions. Pregnant women may be more susceptible to motion sickness, and the waist and shoulder harnesses may not fit so it is advisable they wait until after the birth before flying.
